Having your own base in GW:EN that you can visit any time... even while playing all 3 campaigns to keep upgrading your monuments... will really pull me back into GW1 if this can be made continuous.
The way I would love to picture it is: You purchase GW:EN and access it from any of your current campaigns (like how you access your Guild Hall). You set up your Hall of Monuments (i.e. your Base) and can start building your Monuments. Even after you purchase GW:EN and set up your Hall of Monuments... you could always purchase any of the other campaigns and start building Monuments that were specific to that Campaign (like buying Nightfall to complete the game and get a Nightfall Monument). The real question is... what happens with the Hall of Monuments once GW2 comes out. Are the benefits you build on from the Hall of Monuments only transferred at time of character creation or is it account wide? It just doesn't seem right that a character you create in GW2 will only inherit from the Hall of Monuments at point of creation - and never be able to inherit anything else from that point on (even though you may continue building monuments). It would be really cool if the unlocks were applied to the GW2 account itself and you could continue building monuments and unlock more stuff for GW2... even if every unlock only provided one item (e.g. a mini-pet would only be given once as a bonus in GW2). Otherwise, I can imagine quite a number of my friends just playing the 3 campaigns and GW:EN until they get the most unlocks possible before even touching GW2. Quite frankly I'm still on the fence on buying GW:EN and Nightfall... but I'll be buying GW2 the day it comes out. Knowing my friends however, they play so many other games that they'll be in no hurry and would rather get the most bonuses out of the Hall of Monuments before purchasing GW2. Anyways... I'm really interested in knowing more about the general way it will all work (not necessarily the specifics) because I'm still looking out for some information that will pull my full interest back into GW1 (rather than now, I'm playing half-interested when I have nothing else better to do).
